Anna Ríos-Rojas is an Associate Professor in Educational Studies (and WGSS) at Colgate whose writing and pedagogy weave between theories of belonging and he/art, as another way of seeing/feeling. As a sentient being, Anna remembers drawing and painting as her first modes of communication. Throughout her schooling, she was that perpetual doodler and dreamer who sat at the back of the classroom lost in her imagination. Whenever she can get her hands on any kind of writing or drawing tool, she is moved to create otherwise worlds/futures, encouraging her students in her classes to do the same.
